About Me

First and foremost I am a mum.

My son Alex was born in 2004.

After spending 2004 completely consumed with the day-to-day challenges of having a new baby, it was my New Year’s Resolution to make 2005 the year that I invested in my own health.

Early 2005 I set myself a goal to reach my ideal weight of 68kg by December 18th (which just happened to be my wedding day). That was a total weight loss of 18 kilograms. My Goodness! How was I going to do that?

I trained relentlessly by myself, often frequenting the gym 5-6 times a week. Over the first 6 months I saw very little in the way of results and was exhausted from juggling being a mum, my job, and my training.

It was in September that year that I started to train with a personal trainer. I began to have results almost immediately! I was so excited. I would have a one hour session every Tuesday morning with my personal trainer who helped me to set realistic goals and pushed me harder than I would normally work on my own. I found it incredibly motivating knowing that I was actually achieving results and that they were measured too, so I could track my progress.

In the lead up to my wedding I trained hard but also learnt more about my training and how to make the most of it to get maximal results. I am very proud to say that when I weighed in the week before my wedding day I had reached 70kg!! just two kilos short of my ideal weight. I have never felt such a sense of achievement and so empowered for having achieved that myself.

With my personal experience in motherhood I decided to do something proactive and use my understanding and life experiences to help others who also wanted to create change in their lives. It was with this motivation that I undertook a Certificate III & IV in Fitness with the Australian Institute of Fitness and am now a qualified Master Trainer.

So are you ready for change?

ARE YOU GAME?
